How we approach it
A floor is only as good as what's underneath it. Halifax's older homes often have sloped or bouncy subfloors, so we check flatness and fastening before quoting, and we tell you when a cheaper product will do the job just as well.

Questions about flooring
Which floor is best for a basement?
We usually recommend luxury vinyl plank or tile below grade — both tolerate humidity far better than solid hardwood.
Do you refinish existing hardwood?
Yes, where there's enough wear layer left. We'll check during the estimate visit.
